Rosebank, closed in 1993, is revered for its light, elegant Lowland style. Extended time in bourbon wood adds creamy vanilla, gentle orchard fruit and soft spice to the distillery’s signature floral and honeyed character. The result is a refined, expressive single cask whisky where bright malt sweetness and warm oak influence combine in a smooth, nuanced profile with a lingering, graceful finish.

Sweet vanilla bean aromas lead to peach pie, lemon and subtle lychee. Warm spices develop alongside toasted malt.

Palate

Smooth and creamy with baked apple flavours with hints of spicy aniseed and clementine giving way to subtle mature oak.

Medium in length with lingering hints of sweet menthol liquorice.

With the exception of war time closures, Rosebank distilled until 1993 when it was closed, seemingly for good. Naturally over time bottlings have become scarce.
