Coleburn (silent) G&M 125th Anniversary Release - Single Cask #3511 Whisky 47 Year Old · 1972 Vintage
In stock
Since 1895, Gordon & MacPhail has been driven by a simple mission: to create single malt Scotch whisky of exceptional quality. Through four generations of family ownership, the company has matched spirit from over 100 Scottish distilleries to its own casks, creating exceptional whiskies found nowhere else in the world. To celebrate this landmark chapter in Gordon & MacPhail’s rich history, four commemorative whiskies will be released in 2020.
To mark this special anniversary, casks have beenselected casks from distilleries that are closed, or from makes with stills no longer in existence. All these whiskies are consigned to history and Gordon and Macphail are now releasing their very last stocks from each. Never again will these rare whiskies be bottled under the Gordon and MacPhail name.
Coleburn Distillery was founded in 1897 in the town of Longmorn, five miles south of Elgin, the spiritual home of Gordon & MacPhail Whiskies. Mainly used in blends, Coleburn Distillery closed in 1985. This release is from the last cask of Coleburn to have matured in Gordon & MacPhail's famous warehouse.
