Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a dusky mahogany edge, a warm, sunlit glow that hints at generous sherry maturation.
Nose
Ripe dried fruits—fig, date and raisin—meet warm vanilla and orange zest. A subtle sherry glow adds toffee, toasted almond and cocoa dust, layered over polished oak. Quiet elegance, creamy and slightly nutty, with restrained spice and a whisper of leather, finishing in refined sweetness.
Palate
Silken on the palate, this 28-year Coleburn delivers refined sherry sweetness—ripe apples and citrus, with hints of dried fruit and almond. Gentle spice—cinnamon and nutmeg—over velvety oak, a creamy, custardy texture, and a long, cocoa-kissed finish that lingers with warm, polished elegance.
Finish
Elegant and long, it opens with dried prune and fig that yield to polished oak. Cocoa and espresso notes emerge, threaded by a hint of orange zest and spice, and persist in a refined, velvety finish.
