Coleburn (silent) Connoisseurs Choice Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1972 Vintage
Out of stock
One of the many Speyside distilleries to be lost in the 1980's with no production since 1985 and although the buildings still exist as a warehouse space and offices for the independent bottling company Murray-Mcdavid with rumours that one day the stills may produce whisky again in the future?
This an old Gordon and Machail release from the 1980's or early 1990's.
Old fashioned Speyside with a savoury smoke element, a real museum malt.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and mahogany undertones, a bronzed, honeyed glow that catches the light.
Nose
Leafy, mulchy and vegetal, with forest-floor undertones and a whisper of leather. Artichokes mingle with waxy dried fruit, while delicate florals rise beside green banana and a hint of coffee fondant.
Palate
On the palate, silky coffee creams blend with walnut depth, a touch of sooty spice and smoke. Old tea-chest nuances surface, tempered by winter spice for a refined, museum malt character.
Finish
Old fashioned toffee lingers with leafy, vegetal notes; savoury wood smoke, peppery oak and walnut.
