Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich deep amber-gold with a burnished copper glow and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Rich, opulent sherry-driven nose with dark dried fruits—figs, raisins and dates—woven with toasted walnut and polished oak. Bright orange zest, clove and cinnamon spark a sweet-spice spine, while molasses, dark chocolate and a whisper of leather and tobacco deepen the profile. Elegant, complex, and slowly unfurling into a long, refined perfume.
Palate
Opulent and refined, this 41-year Coleburn glides across the palate with quiet power: dried fruits, dark chocolate, and warm spice weave through a velvety oak backbone. Sherry influence adds depth to coffee and raisin notes, finishing long with toasted nuts and leather.
Finish
An expansive, velvety finish that lingers with dried orchard fruits, fig and toffee, bathed in polished oak. Cinnamon and clove weave through the warmth, revealing a subtle sherry sweetness. Leather and tobacco notes whisper at the tail as the memory of this 41-year-old Speyside slowly fades to a refined, long finish.
