Deep, burnished amber with copper-gold glints and a subtle mahogany edge.

Nose

Opulent sherry aromas rise in waves: dried fig, date and raisin mingle with orange zest and dark cocoa. Rich toffee and vanilla lacquer the nose, while cinnamon, clove and oak deepen the spice. A whisper of espresso and leather adds gravity, inviting a luxurious Speyside journey.

Palate

Opulent and velvety on the palate, this Macallan Speymalt Single Cask unfolds with bold sherry richness: sun-dried raisin, fig and prune mingle with orange zest, toffee and dark chocolate. Spices—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—weave with polished oak for a full, luxurious mouthfeel. A warming, long finish of dried fruit, cocoa and faint licorice lingers.

Finish

Long, elegant finish with sherry-poised sweetness, orange zest and warming spice. Dried fruit notes give way to dark chocolate and toasted oak, lingering with a velvet warmth as cinnamon and nutmeg softly fade.

The Macallan
Macallan was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824 on the Easter Elchies Estate above the River Spey, and it was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to become legally licensed. The name comes from the older place name “Maghellan”, combining the Gaelic magh for fertile ground with a reference to St Fillan, who was associated with the church that once stood on the estate. Easter Elchies House, which remains central to the brand’s identity, dates from around 1700 and still sits at the heart of the estate.
