Imperial (silent) Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection Single Cask #5619 Whisky 42 Year Old · 1979 Vintage
In stock
Founded in 1897 by Thomas MacKenzie, the opening of the rather grandly named ‘Imperial’ distillery coincided with Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, no doubt an influencing factor in its naming! Sadly the distillery closed just one year after opening, with a 20 year gap in production.
This rare 1979 vintage bottling by independent bottler Gordon and MacPhail showcases a beautiful example of this closed distillery. A single Re-fill American Hogshead was used drawing only 61 bottles.
