Distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2023 at 46.7% ABV, this long-matured Highland single malt was drawn from a refill sherry hogshead (cask #804) for Gordon & MacPhail’s Private Collection / Recollection Series and yielded 124 bottles.
Lochside distillery closed in 1992 and was later demolished, making single malts from this source very rare and sought after.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Gold.
Nose
Rich stewed fruit aromas mingle with Medjool dates and citrus peel. Pressed apple and sultanas unfold, with a delicate trail of aniseed.
Palate
Smooth flavours of seville orange gives way to baked apple and a hint of aged leather . Toasted almond s lead to herbal influences.
Finish
Medium-bodied with lingering mixed nuts and spice.
