Tasting Notes

Nose

Fresh apple aromas combine with walnut and subtle ginger spice. Sicilian lime comes to the for alongside subtle aged leather.

Palate

Smooth poached pear flavours give way to apricot and banana. A hint of vanilla develops with pineapple and mature oak.

Finish

Full and long finish with lingering citrus zest.

(KLINE-leash) Established in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford in 1819, Clynelish was one of the first purpose-built distilleries. In 1823, the distillery became legal under the Excise Act. Unfortunately due to the recession in 1931 the distillery closed and did not open again until the end of World War II.
