Colour

Luminous golden amber with a warm copper undertone.

Nose

Strawberry notes mingle with creamy vanilla ice-cream, delivering a luxuriously soft, fruit-forward nose. Subtle hints of toffee and warm oak from the hogshead lend depth and a creamy, indulgent sweetness that lingers gently.

Palate

Silky, cream-rich on entry, with bright strawberry notes and vanilla ice-cream. The luscious sweetness layers into a velvety custard, coaxed by gentle oak from the hogshead. The palate glides to a long, soft finish, lightly spiced and reassuringly sweet.

Finish

Long and luxurious, the finish coats the palate with creamy vanilla and strawberry ice cream, yielding a dessert-rich echo that lingers as soft oak spice fades. A final kiss of ripe berries and caramel sweetness stays with you, gently warming and wonderfully moreish.

(KLINE-leash) Established in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford in 1819, Clynelish was one of the first purpose-built distilleries. In 1823, the distillery became legal under the Excise Act. Unfortunately due to the recession in 1931 the distillery closed and did not open again until the end of World War II.
