Colour

Deep amber-gold with honeyed warmth and a coppery glow, a waxy, glossy sheen catching the light like polished honey bronze.

Nose

Waxy plasticine notes mingle with green apples and butterscotch, then salty coastal air rolls in with a bright, tropical hint of pineapple.

Palate

Waxy pineapple and tangerine lift the palate with tropical brightness, tempered by a briny whisper. Tart apples add crispness, while a touch of walnut oil lends silky, nutty depth.

Finish

Long, waxy finish with coastal salt lingering alongside pineapple-tangerine sweetness. Tart apples persist, accented by walnut oil and a briny whisper, fading slowly to a polished, creamy echo.

(KLINE-leash) Established in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford in 1819, Clynelish was one of the first purpose-built distilleries. In 1823, the distillery became legal under the Excise Act. Unfortunately due to the recession in 1931 the distillery closed and did not open again until the end of World War II.
