Tasting Notes:

The characterful nose reveals candied apples and sticky dates alongside an abundance of warming spice. The fulsome palate bursts with chocolate orange and honeyed barley with cloves and nutmeg. The lingering finish brings ripe red fruits and a waxy style.

Palate

A full-bodied palate delivers chocolate orange and honeyed barley, edged with cloves and nutmeg. The waxy, lush texture coats the mouth, while ripening red fruits emerge toward a lingering, refined finish.

Finish

Long, elegant finish of ripe red fruits, evolving into a waxy, polished impression that lingers on the palate. A gentle warmth persists as the waxy character slowly fades, leaving a clean, refined afterglow.

(KLINE-leash) Established in 1819 by the Marquis of Stafford in 1819, Clynelish was one of the first purpose-built distilleries. In 1823, the distillery became legal under the Excise Act. Unfortunately due to the recession in 1931 the distillery closed and did not open again until the end of World War II.
