A 28 year old Rosebank bottled by That Boutique y Whisky Company. Just the 2nd batch they have released from this famous Lowland distillery, bottled at 49.2% abv and one of 33 botlles.

A gentle and slightly sweet nose of caramel and honeysuckle. There's also a slight grassy and vegetal note too (celery). The palate is slightly warming with a delicate sweetness and nuttiness again, before a rosewater, orange and berry fruitiness makes itself present. The finish is malty and barley led, with a delicate spice and citrus to end.

Colour

Golden amber with a honeyed glow and a subtle coppery sheen.

Nose

A gentle, slightly sweet nose of caramel and honeysuckle, with soft grassy notes and a subtle celery-like vegetal edge.

Palate

Slightly warming on the palate, it carries a delicate sweetness and gentle nuttiness, opening to rosewater, orange and berry fruitiness with a refined, lingering balance.

Finish

Malty, barley-led finish, softly spiced with citrus notes that linger.

With the exception of war time closures, Rosebank distilled until 1993 when it was closed, seemingly for good. Naturally over time bottlings have become scarce.
