Batch 13 of TBWC independently bottled Macallan. This was a release of only 217 bottles and is a super 29 years old.
A very oaky and fruity nose with lots of pear, quince, citrus and oaky vanilla spice. The palate is classic Macallan, fruitcake, chocolate, ginger and spice. Smooth and textured. The finish is again very representative, orange and cloves, chocolate and a slight smokey/tobacco edge to balance the richness.
An excellent Macallan and given the price of an OB 30 year old, remarkable value.

Classic Macallan on the palate: fruitcake and dark chocolate mingle with ginger and spice. Smooth and textured, delivering a rich, balanced mouthfeel with a gentle warmth and depth.
Finish
An enduring finish of orange zest and cloves, woven with dark chocolate, and a subtle smoky-tobacco edge that lingers, balancing the richness.
