Invergordon That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #21 Single Grain Scotch Whisky 50 Year Old
In stock
A long aged single Grain from the Invergordon distillery. Maize would have been the grain of choice back in the 1960's so this is definitely a drop of liquid history. The Angel's Share would have consumed around 60% of the original filled cask!

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery sheen and a mahogany-tinted glow.
Nose
An opulent, aged bouquet of caramel vanilla and honeyed corn, opening to dried orchard fruit, fig and sultana, with orange zest and a hint of cocoa. Rich oak, waxy polish and cedar lend depth, while sherry-imparted sweetness threads through, yielding whispers of nutmeg and spice on a long, refined finish.
Palate
Silky and deeply refined, the palate offers honeyed sweetness with waxy, creamy texture. Dried apricot, almond paste and toffee mingle with orange zest and vanilla, while orchard fruit provides lift. Sherry influence adds richness with warm spice—cinnamon and nutmeg—against polished oak. A long finish of dried fruit, cocoa and beeswax, an elegant echo of age.
Finish
Opulent and extraordinarily long, the finish unfolds with warm almond and vanilla giving way to dark fruit, prune, and cocoa. Sherried sweetness lingers, mingling with orange zest and toasted oak, a whisper of leather and spice. Creamy, waxy textures roll forward, leaving a refined, contemplative warmth that echoes the spirit’s half-century journey.
