Nose

Excellent bouquet of toasted coconut and roasted almonds.

Palate

Soft and very engaging, this is a well matured dram. Custard creams and buttery shortbread are prevalent, and the anticipated sweet spice from the rye cask is gentle and very well-integrated.

Invergordon
(in-ver-GOR-dun) Invergordon was founded in 1959 and began operations in 1961, making it a relatively modern distillery by Scotch whisky standards. Built in the Highland town of the same name, it is unusual in being a grain distillery in a region better known for single malt, and it remains Scotland’s northernmost grain distillery. The site was created to produce whisky on a large scale, and it later became part of Whyte & Mackay in 1993.
