The 31 Year Old second global release is comprised of scarce casks that were filled just before the Rosebank Distillery was mothballed in 1993. Despite spending over three decades in casks, this Lowland single malt retains a bright and zesty nose, with hints of lime and lemongrass.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Bright pale gold with a delicate straw sheen, edged in whispering honey amber.

Nose

A bright, zesty nose of lime and lemongrass, lifted by coriander seed and clove, rounded with soft vanilla and sugar-coated almonds.

Palate

Fantastic age, still light and vibrant on the palate, with mint and camomile, paired with leather, berry and banana bread.

Finish

Sweetness lingers softly, with peach fruit, warm oak and a thread of herbal notes, extending into a long, refined finish.

(Rose-BANK) Famous for very high quality, triple distilled malt, Rosebank Distillery can be found on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal, between Edinburgh and Glasgow. With the exception of war time closures, Rosebank distilled until 1993 when it was closed, seemingly for good. Naturally over time bottlings have become scarce.
