This series of rare and collectable aged whiskies honours the legacy of one man, Ian Hunter, the last of the Johnston family to own and manage the distillery, between 1908 and 1944. Each release will contain a rare and aged set into a beautifully crafted book that will document a part of Ian’s rich legacy. Every year a new chapter will be told, uncovering the extensive history behind the distillery and the characters who created it, making this a collection unlike any other, and one that is treasured by fans across the world.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a subtle mahogany edge, hinting at Sherry-kissed richness in the glass.
Nose
Rich, decadent nose of dried dates and figs, a cigar box of toffee and dark chocolate, and liquorice with medicinal notes, lit by pink peppercorns and allspice. With a splash of water, pipe tobacco and orange emerge.
Palate
Manuka honey sweetness coats the palate, yielding smoked stone fruits with a velvety, lingering warmth.
Finish
A long, mouth-drying finish that carries smoky richness and sherry-warmed fruit, with tobacco, cocoa and oak notes lingering into the final echo.
