Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a rich mahogany edge.
Nose
Thick peat smoke and iodine lead the aroma, sharpened by sea-salt brine. Vanilla and toasted oak unfold alongside subtle leather, with notes of dried fruit and a whisper of sherry, all carried on a maritime, medicinal breeze.
Palate
Powerfully peated and maritime on the palate, with iodine and sea-salt smoke that glides into sweeter peat notes. Rich dark fruit, cocoa and leather mingle with oak spice from long cask maturation, yielding a full-bodied, velvety texture and a long, warming finish.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with lush peat smoke that lingers, breathing iodine and sea-salt as a ribbon of dark chocolate and dried fruit unfolds. Rich oak and a whisper of spice steady the sweetness, leaving a warm, briny echo that slowly fades to a refined, mineral dryness.
