Laphroaig Cask Strength 2016 Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 25 Year Old

A corking cask strength Laphroaig, matured in a combination of second fill bourbon and European sherry casks. Surprisingly delicate on the nose with a lovely mixture of fruit, floral, minerlaity and saltiness. The palate is surprisingly soft, sweet and fruity, not at all aggressive and extremely approachabe and easy to drink. Lots of dried fruit, grapefruit and vanila pod combine with gentle smoke and earthiness. The finish is soft, gentle and dry. A delightfully restrained and delicate Laphroaig, even at cask strength!
