Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with rich mahogany and copper highlights, a wine-dark glow hinting at the sherry influence.
Nose
Peat smoke and iodine ride a maritime breeze, opening to rich oloroso Sherry notes. Dried fruits—raisin, fig, date—couple with dark cherry, plum and toffee, scented with cocoa, leather and gentle spice. A warm, velvety fruitiness unfolds, edged by a subtle saline finish that hints at age and Islay pedigree.
Palate
Opulent and smoky, the palate mingles bold peat with lush sherried sweetness. Dried fig, raisin and plum ride a wave of sea-salt and medicinal iodine, while dark chocolate, espresso and warm spice deepen the richness. Velvety, full-bodied texture carries oak-kissed spice into a long, lingering finish that is luxurious and unmistakably Islay.
Finish
An epic, lingering finish where ember-soft peat meets rich oloroso sweetness. Dark raisin and fig lift cocoa and spice, while sea-salt and iodine weave through the velvet sherry. The warmth lingers with a honeyed, briny glow that slowly fades into a dry, elegant closure.
