Tasting Notes
Colour
Burnished amber with copper-gold undertones and a touch of mahogany; a sunlit bronze hue that hints at sherry-cask richness and smoky depth.
Nose
Towering peat and iodine spear the nose, with sea-salt brine. Sherry maturity brings fig, raisin and dark cocoa, while vanilla and toasted oak weave a warm, refined sweetness. Maritime smoke lingers, crisp and velvety, inviting a patient, contemplative inhale.
Palate
Full-bodied and velvety, this palate unfolds with bold peat smoke, medicinal iodine and coastal brine, tempered by rich sherry sweetness. Dark fruit notes of fig and prune, cocoa and toasted oak mingle with warming spices—ginger and clove—creating depth. The finish lingers long in smoky embers, a saline ribbon of peat with a final, resinous coastal dryness.
Finish
Long maritime finish of peat and medicinal iodine, with a gentle sherry sweetness weaving through the smoke. Dark chocolate, dried fig and spice emerge against sea-salt and oak, delivering a warming, lingering glow that coats the palate and fades to mineral embers.
