Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with coppery highlights and a warm, sun-kissed glow.
Nose
Sea salt and seaweed mingle with stewed green apple and heather honey, a touch of rhubarb brightness. Vanilla and crusty pastry drift in with hazelnut and dried orange peel, while hints of ginger and lemongrass lift the nose. Through it all lie phenolic, tarry peat embers, evoking the Islay smoke at the core.
Palate
Carbolic soap threads through salt-crusted seaweed and smouldering campfires, unveiling a core of blackcurrant with hints of stone fruit, thyme, liquorice root and aniseed.
Finish
Sweet and powerful, with savoury notes leading to iodine and oily mackerel complexity.
