Laphroaig don’t chill-filter their Original Cask Strength, and don’t reduce its natural strength. So what you pour is what they draw from the barrel — the heart of charred seasoned oak barrels, blue peat smoke and nutty barley, in a truly natural experience.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep coppery amber with warm golden highlights.
Nose
Sweet cereals and biscuit notes with fresh oak and smoked cedar, gilded by Manuka honey. Subtle wisps of Amsterdam pipe tobacco, leather and shoe polish drift through, touched by waxy church candle, vanilla cream, nutmeg and oak extracts.
Palate
Sweet and spicy, with burnt oak staves and barbecued marshmallows, mingling toffee, vanilla and sea salt with Belgium caramel waffles. Roasted coffee fudge cream on sticky toffee pudding, with a hint of white pepper and crushed cinnamon.
Finish
Floral and refined, the finish unfolds with spicy oak tannins, followed by a brisk iodine lift and sea-salt echo that lingers like a coastal breeze over charred oak.
