Nose
Bold peat smoke swirls through the glass, laced with medicinal iodine and sea-salt brine. Underlying sweetness hints of vanilla and caramel from ex-bourbon casks, while ash, char and a citrus zest lend coastal depth to this intense Islay aroma.
Palate
On the palate, an avalanche of peat smoke and medicinal iodine rides a wave of coastal salt and charred oak. Bourbon vanilla threads sweetness through the fire, while peppery spice and a waxy, full-bodied texture coat the tongue. Rich, rugged and long, with a mineral-saline finish that lingers.
Finish
Long, warming finish of peat smoke, medicinal iodine and coastal salt, carried by charred oak. A peppery warmth lingers, slowly fading into a dry, resinous echo with subtle vanilla sweetness.
