Laphroaig The Ian Hunter Story - Book 5: Enduring Spirit Single Malt Scotch Whisky 34 Year Old
In stock
Ian Hunter looms larger than any other figure in Laphroaig’s history. It was he who, in the early twentieth century, expanded and modernised the distillery at the ‘hollow by the bay’, creating in Warehouse No. 1 an emblem of whisky-making excellence. It was he who guaranteed the distillery’s access in perpetuity to the waters of the Kilbride Stream, Laphroaig’s lifeblood; he who introduced the American White Oak casks still so integral to Laphroaig whisky’s flavour.
This fifth and final edition pays hommage to Ian’s enduring spirit through a whisky double matured in a combination of first fill ex-bourbon American Oak barrels and Pedro Ximénez European Oak Hogheads.
