Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany-russet undertones and a warm, sherry-glow.
Nose
An indulgent veil of tarry charcoal and sooty sweetness, as sherry wraps the nose with smoked raisin and fruity liquorice. Earthy heather honey and cool menthol mingle with charred chocolate, smoked banana and a touch of ginger cake, all carried on a refined peat.
Palate
Sweet wood smoke mingles with malt loaf and red berries, carried by orange oil, nutty-buttery dried fruit and earthy anise.
Finish
A soot-dark, ashy chocolate finish lingers with orange rind, anise, and sherry-soaked dried fruit, tempered by a backbone of firm oak.
