The 31 Year Old second global release is comprised of scarce casks that were filled just before the Rosebank Distillery was mothballed in 1993. Despite spending over three decades in casks, this Lowland single malt retains a bright and zesty nose, with hints of lime and lemongrass.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Ivory-gold with a delicate, sunlit straw glow and a whisper of amber at the rim.

Nose

Bright citrus with a zesty lime and lemongrass core, complemented by coriander seed and clove. Soft vanilla weaves through sugar-coated almonds, yielding a refined, inviting aroma.

Palate

Fantastic age, yet light and vibrant on the palate, with mint and camomile, framed by hints of leather, berry and banana bread.

Finish

Sweet peach coats the finish, with a touch of oak beneath and a long herbal echo that lingers, softly spiced and refined.

(Rose-BANK) Famous for very high quality, triple distilled malt, Rosebank Distillery can be found on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal, between Edinburgh and Glasgow. With the exception of war time closures, Rosebank distilled until 1993 when it was closed, seemingly for good. Naturally over time bottlings have become scarce.
