"The rarest of the rare. And in tasting, the flavour map took me back 30 years, to when i used to buy bottles of this from Gordon and Macphail as a 10 year old..probably distilled around 1975. The unique personality and DNA is identical on the palate as it was then; except now, of course, there is far more oak to contend with. Like finding an old lover 30 years further on: a little greyer, not quite in the same lithe shape as three decades earlier..but instantly recognisable and still very beautiful."
Aged in refill Sherry Hogshead
Subtle esters and fresh notes. Some soft summer fruits develop-stewed pear. With nice rum and raisin influences lingering. A defined sweetness with hints of rich dark chocolate and some fruits. Creamy and well balanced.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Subtle esters and fresh notes perfume the glass, with soft summer fruits ripening into stewed pear. Lingering hints of rum and raisin drift over a creamy sweetness, folding in hints of rich dark chocolate. Creamy, well balanced and inviting.
Palate
Silky, creamy on the palate with a refined sweetness. Subtle esters and fresh notes yield soft summer fruits and stewed pear, with wisps of rum and raisin. A defined sweetness lingers, hints of rich dark chocolate, and a polished, well-balanced finish guided by gentle sherry influence.
Finish
Long, creamy finish with elegant sweetness that lingers. Subtle esters meet stewed pear and soft summer fruits, giving way to lingering rum-and-raisin notes and a touch of dark chocolate, all wrapped in a gentle sherry echo that slowly fades to refined warmth.
