Convalmore (silent) Prima & Ultima Second Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky 36 Year Old · 1984 Vintage
Out of stock
Taken from three American Oak hogsheads filled on Thursday 22nd November 1984, a matter of months before the distillery closed forever. A fine farewell, very little of the malt remains, which harnesses the golden, smooth character and rich fruitiness of Convalmore.
The Prima & Ultima 2nd Release has been personally hand-selected by Master of Malts Maureen Robinson; "This exceptionally sunny Convalmore was made just at the time when I was mastering the art of nosing. As a Speyside, it was one of many; judged by taste, it stood alone. A total eclipse of the sun occurred on the very day these casks were filled. Savour this fine farewell to a fast disappearing malt"

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden sunlit amber with a honeyed, radiant glow.
Nose
A mild, honeyed bouquet rests on a warm, woody base. Top notes of pale fruits—lychee, white grape and melon—emerge with gentle acidity, yielding a sunlit, elegant aroma of quiet sweetness.
Palate
Thick, creamy-smooth on the tongue, the palate delivers a bright, vibrant sweetness of mandarin orange, tempered by peppery spice and a dry, oaked finish. Long and warming, with a silky mouthfeel that coats and evolves into a subtle, graceful dryness.
Finish
Rich, sweet warmth lingers with a light spice, while traces of coconut drift through the aftertaste, leaving a creamy, comforting glow on the palate.
