Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber-nutty brown.
Nose
Intense peat smoke threads through a complex, sherried nose: dried fruits—dates, figs and raisins—meet nutmeg, ginger and polished oak. Notes of smoked mincemeat and smoked meats mingle with earthy forest floor, old leather, vintage bookshops, mushroom pâté on brown toast, and roasted hazelnuts, finishing with a subtle sweetness and rich, savoury depth.
Palate
Dry smokiness unfolds on the palate, yielding to softer, well-integrated oak. Subtle spice and dried-fruit nuances emerge, with a light peat echo lingering into a poised, warming finish.
Finish
A long, fruity finish that lingers with refined wood smoke, echoing dried fruits and toasted nuts, with a subtle peat whisper and gentle oak spice.
