Colour

Deep amber with rich copper undertones and a touch of burgundy mahogany.

Nose

Seville orange peel with smooth stewed apples and toffee. Fragrant vanilla infuses soft milk chocolate with mature oak.

Palate

Sweet summer berries lead on the palate, slowly giving way to subtle black pepper and a breath of fresh mint. Citrus threads through faint herbal notes with a touch of aniseed, delivering a bright, balanced profile and a clean, lingering finish.

Finish

A full finish that lingers with sweet brown sugar and black cherry, leaving a warm, dessert-like afterglow.

(ben-ROM-ach) Benromach first opened in 1900, and is situated next to the railway line in Forres, about 25 miles east of Inverness on the main route to Aberdeen. Like many distilleries that opened around this time, the distillery survived until the 1980s, but with many changes of ownership and extended periods of closure.
