Cask Strength Distillery Bottling

Matured in the finest hand-selected first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, this forty year old single malt is an exceptional limited release.

Rich ginger and stewed fruit aromas are followed by citrus, cinnamon, toffee and beeswax polish. The palate reveals intense Seville orange flavours with red apple and Demerara sugar. This is all finished with citrus zest and a touch of charred oak.

Nose

Warm, opulent nose of rich ginger and stewed fruit, lifted by citrus zest and cinnamon. Notes of toffee and beeswax polish weave through, with a subtle, indulgent undercurrent from first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.

(ben-ROM-ach) Benromach first opened in 1900, and is situated next to the railway line in Forres, about 25 miles east of Inverness on the main route to Aberdeen. Like many distilleries that opened around this time, the distillery survived until the 1980s, but with many changes of ownership and extended periods of closure.
