Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights.
Nose
Polished vanilla and almond mingle with honeyed orchard fruit—apricot and pear—carried by toffee notes. A gentle, warming peat smoke threads through the sweetness, never overwhelming. Orange zest and spice rise against oak-derived vanilla, with a faint mineral edge betraying its age. Elegant, balanced, and slowly unfolding, this nose hints at a long, dignified Speyside journey in a single glass.
Palate
Opulent and velvety, the palate opens with lush vanilla and toffee, revealing dried apple and pear fruit. Rich malt and American oak weave with a touch of peat smoke, citrus zest and warm baking spice. At 49.9%, it carries a softly assertive warmth into a long finish of cocoa, leather and lingering oak.
Finish
Extremely long and refined, the finish layers vanilla and toffee with orange peel as a whisper of peat. American oak lends a silky waxiness and warm spice, with nutmeg and cloves lingering. It tapers to a complex, smoked-dry fade that persists with quiet dignity.
