Perhaps one of the most contrasting expressions launched in the Contrasts series, Benromach Unpeated offers a twist on the distillery’s signature style, using 100% unpeated barley.
This limited-edition release has matured in both Bourbon and Sherry casks and reveals aromas of vanilla fudge, candied pineapple, sweet liquorice and herbal influences. The finish offers fresh menthol and a touch of pepper.
Distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2024, Unpeated has matured for 9 years.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Sunlit golden amber with honeyed warmth and a subtle copper glow.
Nose
Sweet vanilla fudge mingles with malted biscuit and spiced baked apple, while fresh lime, floral notes and ginger intertwine.
Palate
Candied pineapple gives way to red apple, raspberry and raisin, with underlying sweet liquorice and oak, and a hint of herbal influences.
Finish
Medium-length finish that cools with refreshing menthol, a delicate peppery glow lingering into a clean, lightly herbal aftertaste.
