Matured in the finest hand-selected first-fill oak casks, Benromach's 21 Year Old Single Malt delivers sweet Sherry aromas. Subtle spice, Seville orange and raspberry follow with a soft smoky finish.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep copper-amber with warm amber-gold highlights and a hint of mahogany.

Nose

Sweet Sherry aromas envelop the nose, with citrus zest and ginger mingling with oak, and a soft touch of smoke weaving through the scent.

Palate

Sweet at the start, cracked black pepper, Seville orange and raspberry notes give way to baked apple and a subtle spice.

Finish

Charred oak and soft smoke linger, leaving a gentle warmth and subtle spice on the finish.

(ben-ROM-ach) Benromach first opened in 1900, and is situated next to the railway line in Forres, about 25 miles east of Inverness on the main route to Aberdeen. Like many distilleries that opened around this time, the distillery survived until the 1980s, but with many changes of ownership and extended periods of closure.
