Nose

Green apple and lime zest leading to desiccated coconut and brazil nuts, mango and malted biscuit.

Palate

Peaches and poached pears combine with soft black pepper while honeycomb comes to the fore alongside mature oak and orange peel.

Finish

A full finish with lingering marzipan, dried tobacco and spice.

Balblair
(bal-BLAIR) Balblair was founded in 1790 by John Ross at Edderton in the Northern Highlands, overlooking the Dornoch Firth. The distillery remained with the Ross family through much of the 19th century, before being rebuilt in 1894 closer to the railway while continuing to use water from the Allt Dearg burn. Later owners included Hiram Walker, and Inver House Distillers acquired Balblair in 1996.
