Tasting Notes

Nose

Sherry aromas give way to lemon peel and a hint of blueberry. Clove spice aromas develop with walnut and brown sugar.

Palate

Sweet citrus flavours intertwine with stewed raisins and toasted oak. Morello cherry undertones lead to rich fruitcake and autumnal spices.

Finish

Full with lasting spice, along with fruit and a faint herbal edge.

Linkwood
(LINK-wood) Linkwood was founded in 1821 by Peter Brown on the Linkwood Estate near Elgin, with production beginning in 1825. His son William Brown rebuilt the distillery in 1874, and the Brown family remained involved until the Linkwood-Glenlivet Distillery Company was formed at the end of the 19th century. Scottish Malt Distillers took control in the early 1930s, bringing Linkwood into what later became Diageo.
