Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and dusky mahogany undertones.
Nose
Rich dried fruit and raisin dominate, woven with fig and prune. Spice notes—nutmeg and clove—warm against silky oak and a halo of vanilla. Floral Speyside brightness lingers, balanced by sherry-sweet depth from the Oloroso cask.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, the palate unfurls rich dried-fruit sweetness—raisin, fig and plum—matched with toffee, brown sugar and a flicker of orange zest. Spices—cinnamon and clove—meld with oak and sherry-driven nuttiness. Warmth from the 55.8% ABV carries through a floral-fruited finish, long, nutty, and lightly cocoa-spiced.
Finish
Long, resonant finish of raisin and dried fruit sweetness, tempered by warming spice and oak. Oloroso richness coats the palate, leaving a graceful kiss of almond and dark chocolate, fading to delicate florals as the malt’s fruit-forward edge softens and the cask tannins linger.
