Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a hint of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Polished oak, honeyed malt and ripe pear and apple rise on the nose. Sherry cask notes bring dried fig and dark cherry, with cocoa nib, toffee and a lift of clove and nutmeg. Elegant, velvety and inviting.
Palate
Rich and velvety, this Linkwood coats the tongue with dried fruits—sultanas, fig and blackberry—layered with toffee, orange zest and a kiss of dark chocolate. Sherry depths bring warm spice (cinnamon, clove) and a toasted oak backbone. At 53.8% ABV the palate remains poised and generous, finishing long with raisin, cocoa and subtle leather.
Finish
Long, velvety finish washed in sherry sweetness. Dried fig and raisin mingle with orange zest, cacao and toasted almond, while warm oak and a hint of spice linger, ending with a refined, ember-bright glow.
