Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with mahogany depth and coppery highlights; a russet-gold glow.

Nose

Musky with hints of toffee apples and subtle fruity undertones.

Palate

Silky at first, the palate opens with a playful burst of popping candy. Fruity notes, plums and figs, are wrapped in toffee and vanilla, finishing with a warm, lingering sweetness.

Finish

Very smooth, warm and lingering, with a pronounced sweet toffee finish and a subtle hint of coffee.

Linkwood
(LINK-wood) Linkwood was founded in 1821 by Peter Brown on the Linkwood Estate near Elgin, with production beginning in 1825. His son William Brown rebuilt the distillery in 1874, and the Brown family remained involved until the Linkwood-Glenlivet Distillery Company was formed at the end of the 19th century. Scottish Malt Distillers took control in the early 1930s, bringing Linkwood into what later became Diageo.
