Distilled on 7 January 2014 and bottled on 27 July 2021 at 59.1% ABV, this 7-year-old Linkwood was released by independent bottler Fable Whisky as part of the illustrated Fable Series – Folk Chapter 2. The whisky was drawn from a single hogshead (cask #300706) and yielded 322 bottles.
The Fable series pairs single cask whiskies with chapters of an illustrated story titled “The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay,” with each bottling representing a different part of the tale.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with a radiant honey glow and a touch of coppery sheen.
Nose
Barley sugars mingle with bright yellow fruit—apple, banana, apricot and peach—lifted by lemon zest. Ripe plums deepen the bouquet as melon and guava emerge, with a delicate whisper of allspice warming the aroma.
Palate
Silky and fruit-forward on the palate, lemon zest and lemon cake pairing with ripe pineapple and dried fruit. Bright acidity keeps it lively, while mint, cinnamon and green tea thread through the sweetness. The finish offers green grapes, kiwi and fresh green apple skin, clean, with a lightly herbal lift.
Finish
Green grapes and kiwi fuse with cinnamon, finishing on the crisp note of fresh green apple skin. Short to medium in length, with a clean, refreshing finish.
