Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden-amber with a warm, honeyed glow and sunlit copper edges.
Nose
Millionaire shortbread, seaweed and peppermint mingle with fading floral notes, lemon sherbet, chalk and wet mineral, hints of cut grass, salted caramel, and a touch of wood varnish.
Palate
Funk and medicinal notes mingle with cinnamon and earthy mushroom, then lemon zest and citrusy acidity weave through plum and pear. Toasted nuts, marmalade and high-roast coffee lift the palate, with marzipan, ginger and toast adding warmth, finishing in tart citric apples.
Finish
An enduring finish of oak tannins and charred oak, with cooked apples and apricot stone fruit lingering. Subtle notes of sour apple sweets, malt, cocoa nibs and burnt toast weave through the afterglow.
