Tasting Notes

Nose

Fresh green apples, ground spices, honey, vanilla oak,orange and hints of fragrant cut flowers and a touch of wood smoke and leather.

Palate

Citrus and orchard fruits, sweet toffee and vanilla rounded off by baking spices.

Finish

White chocolate and ripe orchard fruits with lasting sweet spice and vanilla oak.

Balblair
(bal-BLAIR) Balblair was founded in 1790 by John Ross at Edderton in the Northern Highlands, overlooking the Dornoch Firth. The distillery remained with the Ross family through much of the 19th century, before being rebuilt in 1894 closer to the railway while continuing to use water from the Allt Dearg burn. Later owners included Hiram Walker, and Inver House Distillers acquired Balblair in 1996.
