Left-Field is an approachable, versatile Single Malt Whisky with all the hallmarks of Starward’s distinctive Australian red wine barrel maturation. This Whisky is unique to Starward as only French oak is used, giving a rich and spicy mouthfeel. This also helps to enhance the complex oak characters, whilst still maintaining the delicate wine flavours. Crafted to be smooth and flavoursome in style, enjoyed any way you like; mixed, shaken or built.

Deep amber with coppery-red highlights and a warm mahogany glow.

Nose

Inviting tropical fruit, crisp red apples and bright red berries, all woven with a warm kiss of vanilla spice.

Palate

Estery, with bright tropical fruit and toasted oak, delivering a rich, mouth-filling texture.

Finish

Delicate, lingering finish with soft tannins and a kiss of French oak spice, leaving a refined echo of vanilla and toasted oak across the palate.

Starward
Starward was founded in Melbourne in 2007 by David Vitale, with the aim of creating a distinctly Australian whisky shaped by the city’s food, wine and brewing culture. Produced at the Starward Distillery in Port Melbourne, its whiskies use Australian grains and ingredients sourced largely from within a day’s drive. Malted barley is fermented with brewers’ yeast to develop a bright, fruit-forward spirit, while the city’s frequently changing temperatures increase the whisky’s interaction with the oak during maturation.
