Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep mahogany amber with coppery-bronze undertones and a velvety, burnished glow.
Nose
Intense maritime peat and smoke lead the aroma, laced with iodine, sea breeze, and a touch of salt. Beneath, sherry sweetness emerges: raisins, dried fig, and cocoa, wrapped in dark vanilla-spiced oak. A polished, cask-strength richness layers depth with a refined, lingering finish.
Palate
Powerfully peated and cask strength, it opens with monumental smoke and briny sea air, then reveals rich sherry-influenced fruit—fig, raisin, dark chocolate—woven with leather and spice. The palate is warm and velvety, with a long finish of peat, oak, and a peppery tickle.
Finish
Long, sherried finish that clings with coastal peat and dark fruit. Rich cherry, fig and cocoa melt into sea-salt and ash, carried on a warming wave of cask-strength heat. Spices linger with oak and pepper, tapering to a refined, lingering dry note.
