One of the most highly rated Port Ellen whiskies, this is he 7th Special Release official bottling of Port Ellen from Autumn 2007. Distilled in 1979, this is a 28 Year Old Single Malt.
A wonderful mixture of sweetness, floral notes and maritime qualities are present on the nose, very alluring and enticing. The palate again shows a lovely balance of sweetness and smoke with spice, minerality and texture also present.
The oldest Port Ellen in the series to date, the whisky shows a great level of complexity and freshness for its age.
