Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale gold with a honeyed amber edge.
Nose
Smoked vanilla, sweet caramel and toffee open on the nose, with sooty smoke balanced by delicate coconut and flaked almonds. Earthy smokiness and a citrus lift emerge, with lemon meringue pie cutting through rich barbecue pork.
Palate
Bright citrus, smoke and minerality fuse on the palate, then charred oak and beach bonfire embers mingle with toffee and creamy vanilla. Bright pear, green apple and gooseberry fool add lift and depth, while roasted coffee, clove and nutmeg emerge, finished by a whisper of heather honey.
Finish
Butterscotch and vanilla mingle with earthy peat smoke and a hint of salt spray, with burnt heather and gorse flowers lingering on the finish.
