Octomore 13.2 Islay Single Malt Whisky 5 Year Old
In stock
Octomore 13.2 offers an alternative maturation to the structural brilliance delivered by its 13.1 counterpart. Following a similar path to the Octomore 13.1, this 13.2 edition is also distilled from 100% Scottish Mainland barley and has been malted to a similar peating level at 137.3PPM.
In an indulgent point of difference, the five- year-old spirit has spent its entire maturing life in Oloroso butts from Fernando de Castilla.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany undertones and a copper-bronze glow, a rich sherry-woven hue that speaks of Oloroso maturation.
Nose
Powerful peat smoke rides a cloak of Oloroso richness. Briny, iodine-driven notes mingle with dried fig and prune, caramelized orange zest, and toasted almond. Dark chocolate and espresso threads weave through plush leather and oak, while a whisper of sea-salt lingers, inviting a long, velvety sherried sweetness.
Palate
Powerfully peated and velvety, this Islay greets the palate with smoke and sea spray. Fierce peat arrives first—mineral, medicinal—and then folds into rich Oloroso sweetness: fig, prune and orange zest. Toasted oak adds warmth and subtle spice, balancing the wine-driven richness. Full-bodied and mouth-coating, it finishes long with warm spice, ash and a lingering peaty echo.
Finish
Long and luxurious, the finish floods the palate with smoke and rich Oloroso sherry. Dark dried-fruit sweetness, cocoa and fig mingle with velvety oak, while a warming peppery spine keeps the peat alive. A faint maritime breeze carries the peat into a resinous, persistent finale.
