A Mortlach single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, this 38 year old was distilled in 1976 and matured in oak before being released in 2014 at 43% ABV. Mortlach, often referred to as the “Beast of Dufftown,” is known for a rich and muscular spirit driven by a distinctive distillation process that gives extra depth and complexity.
Extended oak maturation brings rounded dried fruit, gentle spice and oak-driven warmth that sit comfortably alongside Mortlach’s hallmark character of dark fruit, malt richness and structured weight.
